2008 CREATIVE CONNECTIONS ART AND POETRY EXHIBITION
There were two exhibitions in 2008, organised by a team of: poets, parents of artists with disabilities, interested community members and Disability Services Commission workers. Both exhibitions were supported by WA Poets Inc and Disability Services Commission of WA.
There were 61 Artworks by 31 Artists and 26 Poets wrote 142 poems to the artworks. |

The first exhibition was held on Thursday 10th, Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July 2008 at Centro Warwick Shopping Centre, with a launch at 3 pm on Thursday 10th, with guest speakers, to coincide with filming by Community Television.
The second exhibition was held in conjunction with National Poetry Week on Thursday 4th, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th September 2008 at the Centro Galleria Shopping Cente in Morley. There was also a launch of the 2007 and 2008 exhibition books/anthologies, including photos of artworks and poems, at 6 pm on Thursday 4th September at Centro Galleria. |
